They are one of the world’s biggest money managers (with over $650 billion under management) and, most importantly, have an extensive expertise in investment management and pensions (in fact, since 1967).

AB are pioneers in target date funds (TDFs). These are financial instruments in which different people with the same expected retirement date combine their money together to gain the advantages of being part of a large group. In TDFs, your investments are more adventurous at the beginning of your career. As you approach retirement, they become more cautious.

Sustainability focus

By default your money seeks to generate attractive investment growth and to favour investments that support economic prosperity, environmental sustainability and social inclusion around the world. Building a better world that we are proud for the next generation to inherit. We believe that financial returns need to go hand in hand with environmental and societal returns - who wants to have a lot of financial wealth in a world that is polluted where that money cannot be enjoyed?

How is this achieved?

We exclude or minimise exposure to controversial industries such as arms manufacturing, coal, fossil fuels, tobacco. With these exclusions in place, your money actively finances companies that are aligned with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (UN 2030 SDGs). These goals represent an aspirational view of what the world could look like in 2030 and address issues such as poverty, hunger, climate, gender equality and education. As a result of a global commitment to deliver those goals, our view at Collegia is that these companies will benefit from the necessary global policy efforts and tremendous investment driven by market forces and/or government intervention.
